"Cool Heads, Warm Hearts, Helping Hands"
The Motto of the Carolinian Economics Society
THE CARES EMBLEM
The CarES Emblem embodies the threefold hallmarks of a Carolinian Economist: Cool Heads, Warm Hearts, Helping Hands.
COOL HEADS
The first hallmark of a Carolinian Economist is that they should maintain a cool head and alert-mindedness. The study of economics allows every one who understands it to see what is real in the economy and how it impacts people. With this, mental alert-ness, intellectual competitiveness, and the zeal to understand the world around should be kept by every Carolinian.
WARM HEARTS
The second hallmark of a Carolinian Economist is that they should maintain a warm heart of compassion. After building the foundations of understanding the world around them through economics, Carolinian Economists are given the opportunity to empathize with the economically-disadvantaged. With this, every Carolinian Economist must have a warm heart full of love and compassion for others, especially the least, the last, and the lost.
HELPING HANDS
The third hallmark of a Carolinian Economist is that they should have helping hands. Every Carolinian Economist is expected to apply what they learn, fueled by their compassion for others, to set out to build a better society through their knowledge, skill, and zeal. With this, a Carolinian Economist is also, by their action, a nation-builder.
